Fascia, Soffit and Guttering Replacement
The fascia, soffits and guttering on our homes is one of the most important, yet often most overlooked when considering maintenance and repair.
Usually at high level, where only the brave person will climb, they do a variety of jobs on our home.
They secure and support the front row of roof tiles, hold the guttering that takes rainwater away, they seal and protect the loft space and roof area, protecting the roof joists and the contents of our loft from the elements and stop all manner of animals and birds from setting up home in our roof space.
Usually made of timber (sometimes also in a form of asbestos in older homes), just like any other wooden component, they need regular maintenance/painting to keep them in tip top condition. But because of their position, its all too easy to ignore them – until it gets too late.

My team and I will remove the existing guttering, downpipes, timber fascias and soffit boards, and replace them with maintenance free PVC-U along with new guttering in choice of styles.
The result – a gleaming and 100% weatherproof finish to your home that will require virtual no maintenance ( aside from an occasional clean )
What Are Fascia and Soffit Boards?
Fascias are the vertical face of the roof edge – the part that the guttering is fixed to.
The soffit is the horizontal board, fitted under the fascia that seals off the roof void, helping to keep animals and birds out.
Depending on the roofs design, they sometimes have ventilation holes in them to allow an air flow into the attic area
The pointed, triangular ends of the roof ( usually on semi and fully detached properties) have barge boards fitted.
How Much Will It Cost?
The facts are that every job is different, roofs vary in design and shape, and guttering can appear in numerous configurations.
We always visit your home to carry out an inspection and will provide you with a firm price for the works required.
But to give a guide – a standard mid terraced house approximately 5 metres wide with one down pipe on the front of the house and one on the back works out in the region of £900.00 for full replacement front and back in white* finish with black half round gutter.
This includes for removal of existing guttering and all rotten timber work, and the fitting of replacement PVCU fascias, soffit boards, new gutter brackets, gutter and downpipes.
*Fascias and soffits are available in white, brown, and at extra cost various woodgrain finishes – we can also source specialist colours too
Guttering is available in three standard colours, Black, White and Brown.
There are two standard styles too – half round and square line guttering.
